I have heard the line that you should wash your hands before so you don't dirty your plague sausage. Maybe before and after washing is best?
 
The military has been called into Wuhan as medical personnel just cannot cope with the sheer number of people who have contracted this.

Make no mistake, that 900 figure is not the truth. You can times it by ten and you may get somewhere closer to the truth. Number of deaths is also likely to be many times higher than has been reported.

We should leave the Chinese to deal with it how they see fit for themselves. However, international governments must do what's best for its people and that is to suspend all flights from China, as difficult as that is for me to think and call for. (I have family and friends in China).

It's too late I fear. The flu genie is already out of the bottle.

Totally agree with the sentiment though, as soon as they find out there is a deathly version of the flu/virus is out there they should be shutting down those areas and the areas around closest to them to try and halt the spread.

I put it down to people not being old enough to have seen The Cassandra Crossing to worry about this kind of thing.

I partly blame the WHO for this. They've simply been inadequate in their reaction to it. It is clear that it is far worse than even they're saying.

Hospitals in Wuhan are having to turn new arrivals away as they've ran out of medical supplies and testing kits.

Can't blame the WHO so much..their funding has been flat for decades as the increased risk of viruses has only increased and they have made public proclamations about this very threat. But having a decentralized organization is also an issue for them.
