It’s good business. We will have about ten days stock of beer, the cost to the brewery is less than 25% to manufacture, so it’s about 2-3 days of our cost to them. We sell their beer for 365 days a day and will do every year. It’s a no brainer really. Similarly, if we had not gone into full lockdown, we would have given it away as a bonus to our customers who help us 365 days a year......
I've been on here a while and always saw your posts about going to the pub.

I honestly never knew that was your business mate.

I'm sure / hope you will be fine once this gets sorted.

@BlueToff I see the Government are now saying not to drive places to exercise or dog walk.

I mean wtf its ten times riskier walking through your busy housing estate than going for a run or taking your dog for a walk in some rural field.

Wont be long before we are in total lockdown imo.

Our family been driving to a remote spot a few times for a walk and for the kids to run around. Never seen anyone there once. I’ll still be doing it as it’s a ridiculous policy.

I had to stop taking my dogs out for a quick late night walk and piss here as it's dodgy sometimes late on.
You do have a point with this.
My dads dogs need proper exercise not a quick spin round the block.

I sympathise for those in large towns and cities with few options to get out. In our village, we pretty well have full household lockdown, but everyone has a garden and jogging or dog walking around the village and the fields isn’t an issue....

Thanks, but the pub is just a hobby really, it breaks even. I retired from Industry a while back and then the only village pub came up for sale, so a couple of us bought it to save it from developers. So it’s more of a hobby than anything, but of course it also provides employment for half a dozen villagers, and I have a perfect excuse for being in there every night...

Agreed but that doesn't mean that all companies display common sense.

Well, I would say the precedent is for policies to be slowly brought in (little steps / non-mandatory), so for me it's edging towards it being an option or possibility.

What you've got to take into consideration is that while many may do it sensibly, you'll have others who don't: stop off at a shop; buy petrol; invite friends along etc.

It's also less cars on the road, which is much easier for cops to deal with when they're already dropping like flies; plus, you don't have to worry as much about fuel.

While working today, I saw a noticeable increase in the use of cars on the road compared to the past few days, so I am actually glad they're bringing it in.
