Nice oneWork just called and I am off now paid until reviewed at the end of April, phew, no overtime though which sucks.
We've been having building working on our house for the past few weeks, and my builder sensibly rang up and said that he won't be able to attend.Yep. They’re telling people to not use public transport when the vast majority of people in London don’t have cars.
They’re telling builders to maintain social distance when the canteen and changing facilities are barely big enough to accommodate the workforce even without these distancing guidelines.
It makes no sense.
People that work on food banks are exempt so charities like Shelter may be ok. Dealing in the provision of food makes it essential I think.Spoke to my mate who is in the Polis last night about this.
He said they were very likely to be one of the groups that were very badly hit, due to their lifestyle and the fact they`ve been largely been forgotten in all this.
Plus he don`t know what`s happening with the likes of soup kitchens, outreach workers etc - whether they`ve been told to stay away.
I do voluntary work for a small mental health charity and I`m not allowed to see the old boy that I support until further notice, so I`m imagining the charities etc that support the homeless and drug addicts are the same![]()
You'll be seventy then mate, you absolute tart xI'll be ordering a pint in the pub in 10 years time and the barmaid will say "You've got a lot of scars on your fists and knuckles. Are you a boxer or something?"
To which I'll have to reply "No, I just washed my hands until they bled during the COVID 19 pandemic"
I doubt she'll be flinging herself into my manly arms following that one
Shocked I am.
Shocked I am.
Shocked I am.
Shocked I am.
Just seeing news report coming out of Spain. Soldiers cleansing nursing homes are finding some places deserted with dead and dying residents.
Shocking. Me and the missus are literally sitting here sobbing
I hope people do remember all these type of companies when life gets back to normal, the companies that are quite happy to let there workforce go without because they've got a tit on for being asked to close and the shops that were charging inflated prices for soap and toilet roll
I won't be going to a wethys again
