I went to the Co-Op this morning - They were operating a 'one in, one out' policy with a maximum of five people in the store at at one time. The nice chap guarding the door told me that the 'big' supermarkets are doing the same - with a limit of 60 people at any one time
What about smackheads who won't be buying anything just robbing stuff ?
How are they going to cope ?

I totally see your argument and don’t disagree with the sentiment but if your boss tells you to come in and you have bills to pay it’s often not as easy as Just staying at home

I don't have an answer to that because you've got bills to pay. I will say this however, is risking yourself, your family and loves ones worth it?

I can't answer that mate cause. I don't wanna be in your shoes. Actually I am but, I've got no answers. I know you'll do the best for your family as you see fit. That's all we can all do right?

I understand the frustration, mistakes have been made. There will be a long and lengthy examination. It's not the time now though.

It looks very likely loved one's won't make it through this. I hope that's not the case. We're at a stage though that difficult decisions have to be made. The ball is literally in our court, wherever your position across the pond.

Stay at home. Don't risk others. If you're not in an essential industry. Stay at home. If you are in construction. Stay at home.

Unless you work in essential services. Stay at home.

Essential services in no particular order, are medical staff, law enforcement, folks who work in the food industry, pharmacists/chemists etc. It should be obvious by now.

Cutting peoples lawns or cleaning their windows is not an essential service. Neither is selling sports gear, computer games or the myriad of reasons that greedy people come up with. Including construction. Just go home.

Literally just go home, at this stage staying home is going to save lives. This isn't a panic. Faced with this threat, governments can only do so much. Personal responsibility lies with all of us. Man up/Woman up, I don't care how you phrase it. Take a couple of weeks off, get drunk. I don't care, just stay home.
My missus is a big worrier and every now and then something else comes into her head. What about my hair?. And my nails?

Really? REALLY?

Apart from being totally irrelevant in the whole scheme of things, nobody apart from me will be seeing enough of her to notice anyway.

I don't think it's a case of her taking things too lightly. In fact I know it isn't. I just think the full reality of what's to come hasn't properly sunk in yet

Spoke to my mate who is in the Polis last night about this.

He said they were very likely to be one of the groups that were very badly hit, due to their lifestyle and the fact they`ve been largely been forgotten in all this.

Plus he don`t know what`s happening with the likes of soup kitchens, outreach workers etc - whether they`ve been told to stay away.

I do voluntary work for a small mental health charity and I`m not allowed to see the old boy that I support until further notice, so I`m imagining the charities etc that support the homeless and drug addicts are the same :(

its not me mate I’m not going to work .most of The business interests I’ve got are shut down . It’s cost me a fair amount of money overall but nothing that should mean I’ll struggle financially at all , I’m incredibly fortunate.

I have however had no money in my life . If For example someone has an unscrupulous landlord and a demanding boss , bills to pay and mouths to feed then I for one am certainly not going to lecture them about what they’re doing . Of course they should stay at home if they can but really probably so should Ethel from Tesco’s or Paul from the petrol station but we need them . Being a key worker doesn’t give you magical protection from catching nor spreading the virus . They are faced by incredibly difficult decisions, if the government tell them all work is shut down then they’ll be at home , if they don’t they simply put some people will have no choice but to go to work
