I really enjoyed lockdown. Had a great time. Was walking round the house all day in my shreddies with a massive smile on my face. Obviously not for everyone of course …
It's genuinely easy for me to forget how tough lockdown was on some people, as I am a sociopath who liked it. The lack of cars or social obligations was glorious

The lockdown caused so much distress to businesses and people who could not cope with little social interaction. These issues are going to take years to work through. My wife, a shop owner went through this trauma and is now suffering as a result. Great for some, life changing (in a bad way) for many…..

I am obviously aware it was horrific for many and sincerely give best wishes to yourself, wife and family.

I think governments no longer have the right to lock down, seeing as they’ve done nothing over the last 3 years to improve protection measures (eg installing air filters in buildings etc).

There will now be very recent and useful data into lockdowns which will allow far more informed decision making, hopefully it isn't needed.

What I can confidently state is that there would be a greater chance of lockdowns not being ever having to be considered again if it wasn't for anti-vax morons who refuse to show any social consideration for others, won't isolate when ill, won't wear a mask when ill, accuse dedicated scientists and health officials of 'loving the attention' and cry the meeja the meeja if any report is made like some backward trump supporting banjo playing delinquent. These will be the exact same folk who cry loudest about lockdowns after they've contributed to causing them (I know this isn't you).

Yet here in Australia they said...

Australia will not immediately follow countries such as the United States, Italy and Japan which have moved to require travellers from China to produce a negative Covid test to enter.

The prime minister, Anthony Albanese, on Thursday backed health advice that said Australia has built up immunity to the variant ravaging China, but he did not rule out travel restrictions in future.

(Can't understand not testing incoming flights from China...6 weeks ago I had to wear a mask on the plane to Bali AND show proof of a min of 3 vaxxes)

Anecdotally - for every 1 reported case, there probably 6 or 7 in the general community.
I know it isnt 'Flu - but in severity, it's more or less the 'New (all year round?) 'Flu'
The numbers (25 million Pop.)
Last month approx 15,000 Reported cases, sadly, 22 deaths.
