I take it all back. I’m convinced.
I had a client who started spouting all this common law stuff to try and get out of paying a debt for a credit card. He was quite a nice guy to be honest but had probably had a breakdown at some point and no longer trusted anyone. I told him he had to operate in my world if he wanted help and filled in the forms to stop bailiffs coming. Took several hours like.

I finally test positive. I was ill yesterday despite testing negative still. Forced myself to sleep for like 10 hours and was drinking lemsips all day. Was just like a heavy cold more than anything more serious.
So my symptoms were a mild sore throat , slight headache and extremely tired. In line with everyone else in the house sleep did me the world of good though and feel much better today, if still tired.

This is what the problem is, they actually believe what they are saying.
Saying things like Genocide, terrorism, war crimes (my personal favourite), etc. is just bonkers beyond belief. As you said they need mental health help.
I need to watch these properly at home with the sound on.. This looks all Illuminate and Knights Templary!!! lol

It is a shame that he did that during this latest ongoing row because what he has said there, although it relates to this Government and COVID support fraud in particular, could easily be said about a lot of things in British government economic policy post-1979 too.
They didn't take into account the likelihood of fraud for the same reason they didn't over PFI, defence housing, outsourcing, consultancies, HMRC under Hartnett or any one of about a dozen other scandals and non-scandals down the years.

Bit of good news:
One of the major (and highly dangerous) leaders of the anti-vaxx movement has gone further down the rabbit hole. I guess when you are an prideful idiot and you frame your entire persona on a concept with zero merit (i.e., that vaccines don't work), and then are faced with massive amounts of evidence to the contrary (i.e., that vaccines are highly effective), you experience a strong dose of cognitive dissonance. And instead of saying something sensible like "I guess I may be wrong about vaccines" you double-down and head into Bill Gates/5G/It's completely normal to make Holocaust-Vaccine comparisons.
