Over the last few weeks, my missus has done quite a few shifts at Chorley and Preston ( she's on the bank, so picks and chooses and had barely worked since Summer ). They're past the peak there, both on daily admissions and people in hospital, and COVID related absences have started to drop as well.

They're expecting to be back at what the baseline Delta levels of admissions were in 2 or 3 weeks and a week or two longer before the numbers in hospital get back to a similar baseline.

No-one wants to go public on it, but there's also a hope that, with Omicron being dominant and not being as severe as Delta, that the baseline admissions will drop below Delta levels by March'ish.

Still no one in the lamestream media asking why all these parties (sorry - work events) were going ahead and so well attended by bongo and his chums, if the virus is so deadly that we all have to lockdown/social distance/isolate to save ourselves?
