Good on him for speaking up for what he believes.
Our trust has just sent an email out with dates of when you need to be jabbed. Mid Feb for your first jab. With the rest of the message basically saying if you haven't had the first jab by then, they will consider that as you handing in your notice, which they will accept.
Not exactly in those words, but pretty blunt as to what is going to happen. Your out.

After speaking with a boss person. What I believe is gonna happen is. if you decide to have your first jab after that date, you will be suspended in April until your eligible for your 2nd jab. Once done, you can come back.
Those that have not had a jab by the beginning of March will be told they don't have employment the following month. Interviews are going to be starting in February to replace them. Those not getting jabbed won't be able to change their mind by the beginning of March. The most they will suspend somebody for will be 2 months. So if you can't guarantee your double jabbed by the end of May. Then tough.
They not messing around. No jab, your gone.

So the NHS is understaffed and in danger of being overwhelmed into summer and we're under threat of restrictions all year with no summer reprieve this time. But it's not their fault, it's the unvaccinated's. Excellent

My sister and her daughter my niece both work in a and e ,both had 3 jabs both got covid off friends who went out new year. They have been really unwell and still are ,my sister is fuming because she thinks it's madness the government never brought measures in if they knew it was spreading so quickly her department has hardly any staff and is struggling so much. Couple of nights out without restrictions what was the point ffs .People will pay for it for the rest of the month hostpital staff are unable to work everywhere. Joke,

To be fair, there is a reason why it is understaffed which is well documented for many years, and the double jabbed or no job thing has passed the parliament vote. So it's kinda of the law. The trust's don't have much say In it.
Right or wrong, it's coming fast.
It's prudent to have a plan on place.

Makes sense - they're basically treating it as a predictable absenteeism problem that just hasn't happened yet, due to the reinfection numbers.

That would hold water in most states in the US. Don't know what your employment laws would have to say about the matter.

This guy is a danger. Classic "I'm alright Jack". He is literally saying the vaccines work but arguing against them. The efficacy "starts to wane after 8 weeks". Well that's 8 more weeks of protection than if you were unvaxxed. I'm not even sure his numbers are right but even if they are he is making a stupid and dangerous point.

Some talk recently about vaccinating the vulnerable and letting younger people get on with life as they will never end up in hospital, our ICU figures show 49% of our ICU admissions are aged between 19-49. Equally the data shows the risk reduction of vaccines/progression to ICU.

* We have one of the highest vaccinated % of the demographic in the world at 92%.

According to others the other night to me, this information is wrong and it's the old and vunerable that are sick in hospital.

So I wasn't wrong in thinking this then?
