In August 2020 Campbell's Youtube channel was referred to by UNICEF's regional office for Europe and Central Asia as good example of expert engagement with social media.
No one has a bad word to say about him, even outside his own platform he's praised by all sides of the debate for his fair detailed analysis of the pandemic (reddit, quora etc). There's even a lovingly-jokey online petition for him to become the next WHO chief.
He's not the messiah...but he is fair. It is interesting that his video on ivermectin triggered enthusiastic Wikipedia editors to accuse him of 'misinformation'.
As ever, for anyone to have a chance to understand what is going on: watch his video, read the BBC article he linked, then read that Wikipedia Edit (and the internal "talk" on it) about his supposed misinformation.
Then you're relatively armed to make your own mind up.
