I mean here’s a line from that article:

“based on their modelling, hospitalisations could peak between 3,000 and 10,000 a day and deaths at between 600 and 6,000 a day.”

No mention of the word prediction, and you’ve taken the upper end of that model, to bolster your existing notion that the scientists are wrong and trying to scare us.

A bit of effort to understand these things isn’t hard.

Thankfully even the 600 is starting to look unlikely at this point. The 7 day average is only just above 100 at the moment.

There seems to be a bit of a blind spot in terms of what people think a vaccine is for.

The aim of a vaccine is to teach your immune system to fight a virus. It teaches your body to recognise a threat and generate a response to that threat before the threat makes you seriously ill. That’s it really. In some cases the immune system will identify the virus and contain it before it replicates enough to even flag as present in the system via a test. In other people it contains the virus enough that it doesn’t do much damage but is still present enough that tests show that you have it.

What they don’t do is stop the virus from entering your system, and, if your immune system is compromised for whatever reason it still might not be strong enough to combat the virus. Particularly if a lot of the virus enters into your system in the first place.

To say that they aren’t effective based on their objective is frankly ignoring all data on the subject.

If the vaccine does not stop you spreading it, does not stop it entering your body, only strengthens your immune system in order to fight the virus then why push for kids to get it?

There’s all the evidence you need, if your vulnerable and you are vaccinated then that’s all you can do, it makes no difference or not wether a kid or a fit under 30 has been doubled/triple jabbed as they can still transmit it and you can still catch it.

Makes zero sense why they are pushing this on fit healthy young people and kids. It’s not to protect the vulnerable, because by being jabbed they have already done what they can to help them self.

Precisely. And we know why, because that modelling hadn’t taken into account a change (I.e reduction) in severity, which we now know has transpired.
