Finally hit 6 figures. Wonder if we'll hit 200,000 by New Year.
Not a popular thought with some.

But it's technically a good thing, if everyone who catches it vaccinated becomes super immune according to the small study yesterday.

Population full of super immune people with only the idiots getting ill, sounds sensible to me.

I don't want the cases to rise but it's inevitable really. Will be interesting to see what measures are brought in for England.

Well you're not 100% immune even with a booster so we still might.

All of the available numbers highly suggest that it would be at least manageable. the whole of London currently has a huge amount of COVID circulating and they have between 20-30 people in ICU who have been at least double vaccinated. Some of those will be boosted, some won't but with those types of numbers you don't require massive restrictions. It's the unvaccinated who are the huge problem and they're causing the vast majority of the issues.

No matter where you go in the world these days, that same message is prevailing, unvaccined filling the hospitals. At some point , there has to be some sort of reaction? They are literally the problem and you can see it now whether it's Africa, America , England etc.
I propose some kind of camp along with the fatties.

Why not? surely by now everyone should have recognized that when there are incentives not to do a test (or not to accurately report its results in the case of an LFT) that some people will try to do that.

It certainly makes more sense as an explanation for this dip than anything else we have currently.
Schools are shut, that's probably playing a big part.

People are working from home, as instructed, or are on Xmas shutdowns, so not going into places of work so not testing as much.

Plus then we know that the boosters give 75% protection against any symptoms of Omicron. Given loads of people are boosted, and Omicron is the most prevalent strain in the UK now, then that will also play a factor in positive cases too. Because if you don't have symptoms it's very unlikely you're going to test unless you're doing it out of care for seeing family or friends etc

There's loads of factors contributing, including the one you've said, but it's not like no tests are being done.
