Why is a Masters in anything other than something related to this topic relevant? I have a few colleagues with Masters in our actual field, and they’re all clueless. I respect that level of academic achievement, but unless you can actually do something useful with it, what’s the point? I’m going to hedge my bets and stick with what medically trained professionals suggest I should do. Doesn’t mean I’ll do all of it, but I’ll give their suggestions more consideration than the stuff pumped out on social media by laypeople with nothing more than a Facebook account as a qualification.

If the lockdown is only for the month of January then it's okay, I can get over it. It's cold, dark and usually wet throughout that month anyway plus my sibling only had one birthday in lockdown whilst I've had two, so it's only fair tbphwy.

Jesus, look at France... and they're not even at their Omicron stage yet supposedly...

Positive on this is Denmark and Norway, who are supposedly a few days ahead in their Omicron surge, are showing no big spike so far in hospitalisations.

Hard to show precisely with Norway as clearly the recording is a bit weird but Denmark clearly started their Omicron stage at least a week ago but possibly even on Dec 5 and so far no noticeable rise in hospitalisations

Mad that, since pretty sure Germany's rules for France, Denmark etc are that if you're vaccinated or recovered, you don't have to isolate?

I'll point you to that France hospitalisations graph

Yeah people with actual businesses and livelihoods and [Poor language removed] might disagree that it's 'okay'.

Genuine insanity. I'm out. Will come back in six months when you're still going around in circles after more lockdowns and more jabs.

Ha well this year will be by second lockdown birthday. I expect that'll be every year from now on
