There we go, daily totals up to and including Thursday.

So it has gone down, seems to be going slightly up again. So yeah, no huge spike as of yet with Omicron present for at least two weeks but only really taking hold over the last week or so so if there is a spike coming it will be soon, probably by Xmas day.

If I only had a Masters, I could and would make more meaningful contributions. ?

As it is, I’ll just have to say thanks again to my squaddie ‘mate’ for doing his bit to keep me and 1,000’s of others safe by administering the vaccine in a portacabin by the side of a racecourse.
I'd spend my whole time punting if the races were on

Unclear how much it is Delta, or our old friend with/from Covid, but unfortunately there has been an increase in Covid hospitalizations.

Hopefully get more data on breakdown early next week.

This is what many people fail to consider. They think of COVID from a personal view point, will I get it, will I die, will the pub be open? The problem is, with the information above, is that NHS staff sickness will impact on everything from life saving heart surgery to in growing toenails. It will also impact on all other important services and sectors of the economy

Jesus, look at France... and they're not even at their Omicron stage yet supposedly...

Positive on this is Denmark and Norway, who are supposedly a few days ahead in their Omicron surge, are showing no big spike so far in hospitalisations.
