Rate of admissions slowing is encouraging.
Hoping for further approval next weekReckon Novavax will ever come in? Would help hesitancy and I'd much prefer it for the future ones. Will we just approve it and never see it though? We seem to be relying on regular mrna jabs
Only anecdotal, but starting to hear about quite a few people testing positive now.
Missus went to Xmas party on Friday and over half of them (about 15 or so) all now positive. She’s under the weather, but testing negative for lateral flow, and has just gone for PCR.
I get daily numbers in my work for people off with Covid, and it’s been a steadily increasing flow all this week.
Wishing your wife a swift recovery and that you end up being the control arm in your science experiment xSo the missus has had positive PCR now. She’s under the weather, but has had booster so hopefully will be mild.
Funnily enough I had my booster on Sunday just gone, and believe that it takes a week for the antibody response, so having been exposed to the virus now via my missus for the past few days, feels like a race between the booster response and the virus to see how it will affect me, if indeed I have been infected. An interesting little science experiment nonetheless.

Hope the missus feels better soon and you manage to avoid getting it.
Indeed. Thanks mac. Kind of goes to show ya though, people getting upset about Whitty saying to prioritise your social interactions, it’s just a sensible approach really.
You just don’t wanna get sick over Xmas do ya. Even if it’s mild and all that, no-one wants to spend Xmas sick, or have to cancel plans with family cos someone’s not well, even If it is mild.
We were on 146 deaths yesterday weren’t we?
Deaths aren't increasing yet, total hospitalisations have been sitting at around 7500 for about a month but with cases rising by 40% in one week you would assume hospitalisations will start to rise.
