Choupo-Moting also unvaccinated and has problems. Should be a warning

Just got an email in work - HR stating after today no Christmas parties can take place in the UK, the company has about 20 UK offices. I can imagine all large companies are doing the same. Massive impact on hospitality.

More encouraging signs re hospitalizations from South Africa although still too early to be sure as infection started in younger age groups.

One thing to note is that SA had a large Beta wave which iirc is genetically the most similar to Omicron of the variants we have faced so far. Those with natural immunity from that may have better results that those who acquired their immunity another way.
