Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

With every passing young, healthy and no underlying health conditions death I'm getting a little more concerned to be honest...

Not sure how long this is going to go on for but I'm seeing it as an excuse to at least bring a positive out of it and lose some weight I've wanted to lose since about 2015.

I hope this brings families and communities together like never before and ends with those on the front line being rightfully rewarded for their efforts in the form of huge pay rises.

I fear it will get much worse at least in the UK before it gets better. So many wonderfully skilled doctors and nurses abroad who would love to work there, are so desperately needed, but no longer can thanks to Brexit.

Yep, I should have been clearer.

One of the results of getting COVID-19 badly is possible pneumonia. Appreciate that may not be bacterial (I don't know enough in this area, or I'd be a lot better off!). But again, surely if it was an option to roll it out to more people in the 'vulnerable' category, regardless of age, then it should have been done.

It might not have been an option. Production might have taken too long. But it's just one of those things that makes me think there was definitely some solutions/delay measures if we'd have acted quickly enough.

As a virus, COVID causes a viral pneumonia. The pneumonia (pneumococcal) jab will not help as it is ineffective against viruses.

Great attitude mate, getting more exercise will really help mentally as well which is helpful for all of us right now.

We're still in the Transition Period, so this is your usual bollovks @butters

Why don't you just go back into hiding instead of trying to fill a serious thread with your usual garbage?

Because you are filling a serious thread with lies. Brexit has not caused a block to foreign national doctors in the NHS this year. Remember when you made a eugenics post and got banned for it?

Here it is should anyone not see through your current act

Utterly transparent

"One reported infection per week til August please!"

But Butters really has turned over a new leaf.

the mortality rate in Italy is 9%, nearly one in 10 people diagnosed die.
They have an aging population. The loss of life globally will be monumental. This will absolutely rip through Africa and its developing countries. Hopefully we see pockets of natural immunity cropping up but everywhere it's been found it's been lethal. Dont forget either a lot of the confirmed cases are spending up to 3 or 4 weeks in icu on a ventilator.
