Yet, they’ve just knocked the vaccine passports on the head ????

Also by that reckoning, all the footy will be closed down again too.

Nah.

Not having vaccine passports or any other means of controlling it will inevitably mean lockdowns once they lose control of it; as they found last year there’s nothing else they can deploy other than to shut everything down.

He’s not a plandemic or anti vaxxer as far as I’m aware.

He took the designed for humans form of Ivermectin. He wasn’t injecting bleach.
Rogan has been pretty consistent in expressing doubts that younger, healthier people need the vaccine even before his flirting with invermectin as an alternative treatment and that alone has consequences for some of his audience who follow his lead.

I think it was April that he said he personally wouldn’t say a healthy 21 year old needs to get vaccinated.

Seeing as we have seen debates around people aged 15 needing the vaccine I don’t think it’s a scandalous comment to make.

He has also told listeners pretty consistently that he’s just an idiot and they should speak to their healthcare provider to make an informed decision. There has to be an element of personal responsibility. I occasionally listened to his podcasts, but not for a while as it doesn’t really entertain me anymore. But you have to appreciate that it is an entertainment show, not a public service broadcast.

I certainly don’t think it worthy of him being called a piece of trash.

I do think it a pretty scandalous comment myself, there is a pretty big difference between a 21 year old and a 15 year old and in any case I have been convinced by US data that 15 year olds should also be vaccinated.

The “I’m an idiot, don’t listen to me” and “it is just an entertainment show” are cop outs - he knows the influence he has on his listeners and he shows no hesitation in routinely distorting the information he provides them.

Joe Rogan’s public misrepresentation of a 2015 vaccine study has gone viral. His misunderstanding of the study leads Rogan to wrongly conclude that vaccinating people against COVID-19 will increase the chances of some hyper-virulent mutation. You can watch the video below. But before you do, the lead scientist and author of the study who spent 10 years conducting this research has something to say. Because he’s horrified.

A woman who became the center of a harassment campaign against a Chicago hospital as QAnon supporters demanded they treat her COVID-19 diagnosis with ivermectin has died, according to reports.

One dose of Pfizer jab recommended for 12 to 15-year-olds

Jim Reed
Health reporter, BBC News
The four chief medical officers for the UK have recommended that all children aged 12 to 15 years old should be offered one dose of the Pfizer Covid vaccine.
The decision comes after scientific advisers serving on the Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) said the vaccine only offered a "marginal" health benefit for that age group and could not be recommended on health grounds alone.
The CMOs said the decision was based primarily on the impact on education for that age group.
They considered the physical and mental health and long-term prospects for children in that age group.
They said that vaccination will provide a "material and useful" additional advantage which means fewer children should have their education disrupted this year.
The CMOs say that one dose of the Pfizer vaccine should initially be offered to all children in that age group with no second dose considered before the Spring term.
The CMOs said they only considered the impact on children in that age group and did not consider any possible wider benefit to society that could be provided by extending the vaccine rollout.
A final decision on rollout will be taken by ministers in the four nations of the UK.

I'd be shocked if we have anything beyond socially distanced dining in December. Anything with actual crowds is surely extremely unlikely?

And I think the only way vaccine passports will help this is if flu was added because its more than just covid that'll destroy nhs capacity around that time of year.

I saw Stereophonics have put in a stadium gig in Cardiff the week before Christmas which seems highly ambitious to say the least!

I know, there's no way they'd ever sell out a stadium these days

I’ve got tickets for 3 concerts at The Phil. , on their website they’re still saying you’ll need proof of vaccination or negative test. We’ll see if that changes depending on what the government say.
