TBF if there is any one takeaway from the past twenty years in the politics of the English-speaking world it’s that some people can be really skilled at providing commentary whilst also knowing f all about anything.
While some of his podcast interviews have been amazing, he's a terrible redneck that isn't helping the vaccination cause!!

Is he popular though? His comedy is terrible and his podcast is popular because of his guests rather than him.
Its worrying that some people would take scientific advice from an MMA commentator.

Oh he definitely is popular. He's of the 'just asking questions' line of social commentator. Incredibly stupid man who appeals to people who looks clever to people who are fooled into the idea that length of conversation equals clarity of thought.

I just couldn't see people listening to his podcast if it was him talking on his own about his viewpoints. I'd be surprised if the majority of his listeners actually think hes clever.
I don't see a problem with long interviews. It works a lot better than the tiny segments that traditional media use.
