I was pleasantly surprised how amenable people in the local area were to the reimposition of an indoor mask mandate after our cases locally began to rise significantly.

We’d had about a month or two without the mandate and mask wearing, at least in shops, was still pretty high but since the mandate came back it is only the odd person who you don’t see wearing them at the supermarket etc.
The supermarkets near me generally seem okay, but the trains are not very good, which I don't really get. It's become habitual now and is really no imposition to slip one on.
 
Hospital figures - 214 deaths were announced today, up 183 on yesterday and up 80 on last Wednesday. 196 deaths were in English hospitals, up 172 on yesterday and up 88 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to an even 90

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 207 deaths were announced today, up 157 on yesterday and up 58 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 105.57

For the 60 day cut off, 242 deaths were announced today, up 186 on yesterday and up 56 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 121.14
