The tories are to blame also. They promised in the spring to split case numbers by if they had tested positive in hospital. Didn't happen.

But the NHS aren't innocent to be fair, loads of instances of COVID on a death certificate where it shouldn't have been
Was not aware you were a pathologist, there we are, always something to learn, are you better at it than your other career "economics".

Did they keep our borders to India open?

They provided vaccinations that idiots are not taking up….but either way and whatever new ‘variant’ comes along it all started with the CCP…..but hey, blame the U.K. government. Mind you who do you blame for all the cases and deaths around the rest of the world, I‘m pretty sure Boris can’t be held responsible for the USA, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Canada, India, Brazil, Argentina or the near 200 million worldwide cases and the 4+million death…but then again it probably is the fault of the tories……

Amazing how a Telegraph headline with absolutely no data to back it up is taken as gospel whereas PHE detailed reporting and doctors real life reports are just waved away.

No one said it was gospel, nor that it was accurate, I merely said that I had read it.….

So you just repeat anything you read whether you believe it accurate or not?

The Telegraph reporting is at clear odds with the published PHE data and doctor reports - at this time and with the absence of any more info who do you think is more accurate then?

28 day cut off, tuesdays are always higher than other days because of weekend lag

I think it was to be expected but still, it's not the end of the world

Unfortunately the numbers are predictable. Deaths will continue to rise until hospitalisations drop. Hopefully hospitalisations will start dropping in the next 2 weeks now that cases are dropping.

Hospital figures - 117 deaths were announced today, up 108 on yesterday and up 43 on last Tuesday. All 117 deaths were in English hospitals, up 112 on yesterday and up 44 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 59.57

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 131 deaths were announced today, up 117 on yesterday and up 35 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 68.57

For the 60 day cut off, 135 deaths were announced today, up 121 on yesterday and up 26 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to an even 75

Because it was data from Sunday, weekend numbers have always been low. How do people still not get this 17 months on?

It shouldn't have been the lowest figure for a month though. It clearly should have been higher than the previous sunday. I'm not saying it should have been a 100 but it should have been 20 or so higher than it was.

No Pete, why would I blame Boris for USA, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Canada, India, Brazil, Argentina?

Hes not the leader of those countries, just like the CCP isnt the leader of the UK.
