I was thinking is there an offline way to prove your vaccination status?

The NHS app requires a decent smartphone.

You don’t fill much in really, 2 minutes and that’s it. A letter arrived about 4 days later with the correct info on it. i.e. the data matched the batch numbers on the card I got after being jabbed. Impressive service.

Great news on the vacvinne passport thing, really hope its properly enforced and the football clubs do the same thing.

So I imagine the aim will be to get those kids done over the holidays and then in October time they'll probably roll out vaccinations in high schools.

Going to depend on supply if at risk teenagers can be done by October even with a shorter 8 week dosage gap

Because they want all over 18's to have had the chance to get vaccinated before imposing the rule.

So, have done my lateral flow ahead of work tomorrow. Positive

No symptoms, literally not a thing, not even tight chest/hayfever-like symptoms. Have done 150km worth of cycling in the past 36 hours as well...

I've been self-testing every two days for the last 12 days now and have been negative every time.

So, I'm gonna isolate but no chance I'm going for a PCR and risking a positive, test and trace hounding me. As I've no symptoms they wouldn't even tell me to isolate from that day either, it'd just be whenever I took my test.

Parents have both tested negative every day too and same again this evening - we've been in the same house for the last 10 days.

I only did this lateral flow for work, it's the last one in the box and everything, so wouldn't have even known if I hadn't had to do it for work. Have checked on one of my mum's lot and it came up positive too so just gonna treat it like I've got it.

In the meantime just keeping my distance from my mum and dad but they're both double jabbed and I've been in close contact with them so surely the damage, if any, will have been done

Because by then every adult will have been offered both jabs.

I think the ruling is needed to force people's hand with the vaccine but to be fair it is extremely draconian. No point opening nightclubs and the only people allowed in being over 50s and key workers

Over a month of nightclub sessions will bring the covid rate up nicely by then.

Why stop at clubs? If you ask me if you aren’t vaccinated you shouldn’t be able to buy food or work.
