I have a plastic wallet that goes with me on every ride with money etc. in. Since Covid, that wallet has also had a mask permanently in it. Quite simple, isn't it?
Only if one CBA like, now we're free though, you can actually put some cash in there and buy a round for a change. Covid's done.

*Still plan to wear mask in public enclosed spaces.

Happy Freedom day dear Brits...don't bottle this up pls....I don't want other nations saying "ditching masking mandate? you mad? look at Britain ffs"

Doubt I'll ever go to a nightclub again but its nice to see young people enjoying it after a tough couple of years.

I had a quick look this morning and I haven't seen any particularly negative doom and gloom stories from the media.

For what it's worth, I'd estimate perhaps 95% of people were wearing a mask in Lidl this morning, with no visible change from the past few weeks.

What were you expecting? A spike in infections this morning because kids were dancing last night?

I expected similar articles to the ones from last year when people went to parks or the beach. Cases are going to explode, we'll need another lockdown etc etc.

"Accidentally" forgot to pack one, huh?

Tbf I've done this loads on the bike. I normally just do training rides so coffee trips are maybe once a week and I genuinely do just forget. I did a long one with my dad yesterday and even forgot then, despite getting the mask out ready. Luckily he had his and we sat outdoors for the coffee anyway.

I have a pack in my car so whenever I'm actually going anywhere like the shops, gym or whatever, then I have one.

Tbh, it'll probably stay that way for me now. If I'm going anywhere in the car, I'll use them. If I'm not driving, it means I'm either cycling or drinking in all likelihood, and I think you can get by without a mask in both of those cases. If I remember to take a mask on my bike then I will do to be extra safe but I've managed so far (again though, that's more on me not really using my bike socially other than once, maybe twice a week).

Edit: Yeah, I keep meaning to do the plastic wallet thing. I never carry cash, that's another thing, so I just always use my phone. It is a good idea though!

There will be a lot of people planning to get their second (or first) vaccine doses in the next few weeks who are now having to take a major risk that they'll get Covid and therefore have to delay the dose.

I'm one of these people. Nobbers who think it's a massive hinderance to wear a mask in Tesco now mean i'll be at a higher risk of both getting covid and not being able to get my second vaccine as planned. Through no fault of my own.

But hey, FREEDOM.
