That is what I’ve been calling for though, and I agree the current system doesn’t work.
 
Got my second jab today. Hurray for me. I see the scientists still trying to have their day in the sun... “oh the flu is going to be awful this year”.
Do us all a favour and take your faces for a [Poor language removed], everyone is sick of being told to stay inside and not socialise.

Yeah it's setting the narrative isn't it.

I hope there's actual riots if they try it. Needs to be a line in the sand moment.

Even their excuse is laughable - "our immune systems have weakened due to lockdown, the way to fix that is... more lockdown."

Riiiight.

I don’t wanna sound like a bell, but I’m living my life normally. Of course I’ll respect people’s wishes for SD and masks but I’m not staying inside.

Exactly.

It's the headline as well the BBC used "Flu to be worse than covid."

What it actually means is that vaccines have suppressed covid almost completely and flu will cause us more trouble this year. It's like they want it to read flu is going to be worse than the peak of the pandemic.

Epidemiologists will also work to a worst case scenario. Which is great when there's an emergency, but isn't compatible with everyday reality.

For example, I'm at the dentist now - in theory, dentistry should be banned as it is far too dangerous from an epidemiological viewpoint. But in reality we understand the benefits of dentistry vastly outweigh the negatives.

The politicians need to get a grip now and tell the scientists to step down. Johnson has used them as a shield to hide behind but he needs to understand where the line is now and draw it.

Where have any reputable scientists suggested locking down to help with the flu issue? They are doing their job and illustrating the elevated threat of flu this winter, allowing the government to plan time for an expanded flu vaccine system, much like last year.

TBF dentistry is a good analogy for how the U.K. government and much of society have dealt with this crisis.

Years of consuming sugary pop and chocolate whilst avoiding brushing teeth and dentists, followed by three teeth falling out requiring serious money to fix, followed by whining because we can’t eat sugary pop and have to go to the dentist. As for brushing teeth, it’s all a con designed to drum up money for the Colgate mafia.
 
Hospital figures - 0 deaths were recorded across all UK hospitals, 2 down on both yesterday and last Monday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 8.86

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 5 deaths were announced today, down 1 on yesterday and up 2 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to 10.57

For the 60 day cut off, 6 deaths were announced today, down 2 on yesterday and up 3 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to 17.86
