All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 10 deaths were announced today, up 1 on yesterday and up 3 on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 8.14

For the 60 day cut off, 15 deaths were announced today, down 13 on yesterday and down 2 on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 18.43

I think your misunderstanding stems from your equivalence of thinking ignoring wet markets is the same as 'literally cultivating the perfect environment' for a virus to develop

There is also some debate as to if the wet markets were where it originated from or if it was an example of an early super spreading event. Which makes it more difficult to seek reparations where there is contested origins.

They didn't "ignore" them - they made massive money off them.
