Following confusion over whether new restrictions being imposed in some parts of England... A government spokesperson said: We will be updating the guidance for areas where the new COVID-19 variant is spreading to make it clearer we are not imposing local restrictions...

Not sure what is confusing about that? Looks like advice to me. Keep travel to a minimum, try to meet outside and maintain 2 meter distance.

This government are a nightmare but not sure what they have said here that is confusing?

Is anyone listening to them anymore, Covid will be around for a long time from now so as long as the data remains as it is now then we have nothing to worry about. Some people need to turn the TV off for a while and go and enjoy there lives instead of looking at the 'What ifs'

I saw a fella yesterday when I was out running, with a scarf wrapped around his face and a mask over the scarf.

He looked like something out of a horror film.

Hardly anyone is in hosy, hardly anyone is dying, yet certain sections of the press still continue with the “ we’re all going to die “ narrative.

It needs to stop.

Its shocking mate and the power of the media shouldn't be underestimated.
I still see people driving their cars with a mask on or walking in the park with a social distance of about 200 meters and theyre wearing them.
Like i said yesterday as soon as we get to a freedom point they seem to come up with a variant that they can scare people with again.

It will be interesting to see from the 21st June how many people will continue to wear face masks? I'm sure a lot will.
 
Did I just hear Cummings say Boris was talking about having Chris Whitty inject him with covid live on TV to show it wasn’t dangerous ?

My favourite are people walking outside with those see through visors on lol

Some folks will be more vulnerable. As a solid organ transplant recipient I’m much more vulnerable to (a) catching Covid in the first place and (b) the effects being serious. I will attempt to maintain some level of social distance and wear a mask in certain circumstances.
I’m sure some bright spark will call me a mug for doing so after June 21. Probably one of the morons still claiming it was all government & media hoax.

Thanks for articulating similar thoughts that I have. Its weird striking a balance between a paralysing paranoia and the casual indifference pre covid, going forward, so your post illustrates the reality that many will face.

I love seeing folk getting back to some normality, basic stuff that I wouldnt have batted an eye lid at back in the day. But I will still maintain the sort of balance you will.
