The only good thing about this lockdown was keeping the deaths, infections and hospitalisations down while the jabs were being done, the public not clapping when the organiser tried to bring it back making it feel like we were going back to square one.

There was also no “BBCs Big Night In 2.0” thank God, as that thing made me worse, it made me want to have a big night out. The way the BBC News website kept its mention on the top of their live update summary was annoying.

Can someone who has a better handle than me on the infection reports explain this?

The last PHE slide a few pages ago said sommet like 2400 daily positives, which has been the case for a few weeks. (great that admissions are well down, so no scary stuff really).

But the radio are saying there were sommet like 3400 Indian variant positives today. Maybe I misheard it, and it was a weekly number, is all I can come up with.
What's traffic like on M5 near you mate?

Getting warnings of disruption. Just past Bridgwater

Quick question. How many people does each booth vaccinate on average per hour.Just seen the set up for Rhodes and I have to say it looks very impressive.

It must be less than 5 minutes per person so I'd guess roughly 12 people or so per hour? Maybe somewhere around 150 per day depending how long it's open.

Hospital figures not available as they are no longer being reported on at weekends

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 6 deaths were announced today, down 3 on yesterday and down 1 on last Saturday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 5.86
