Yep.

That isnt a supply issue though.

A nurse can only jab one person at a time like.
No he's right, we don't have massive stocks, so we do need to be careful to make sure we stick the right people.

I mean Murica has huge stockpiles and are sticking anybody who wants 1.

But its been like this from day 1, we are being careful with our limited supply.

Nah it is. The infrastructure has improved since mid-March when we were giving out 700k approx. a day, yet the numbers haven't went up correspondingly. That's a supply issue. We're provably capable of bigger numbers than this.

1 day at circa 800k the rest average about half a mill, can’t see any proof we can manage a mill per day there

We had three days where we inocculated 2.24m in mid-March. We've had more vaccination sites come online in that time, the NHS increasingly alleviated from COVID pressure, greater experience, yet nowhere near the same numbers.

Because of supply. We're clearly capable of close to 1m a day, but we can't.

I'm not complaining, just saying it is what it is.

Not to split hairs, but I'd argue a supply 'issue' would be us not being able to give people their 2nd vaccination 12 weeks after their first and/or being unable to give enough people their 1st vaccination to continue to ease restrictions at the rate we want to. Neither of these appear to be the case - it's more of a supply limit than an issue.

Indeed. All I'm saying is supply is limited because we're clearly capable of delivering more if supply was available.

So you agree that even at out ultra super best we managed 0.7M per day over a 3 day period. I get what you’re saying but if we could manufacture 65M doses a day then you’d be complaining we weren’t finished in a week.

its been a superb effort from all concerned

It was our 'ultra super best' in March - three months into the programme.

It's now two months later - our 'ultra super best' now would be a lot better.

I'm not even complaining, I'm just stating the obvious; we're bottlenecked due to supply rather than any other reason.

Think you are talking tripe personally.

There are a billion variables in the chain to eventually getting a jab done.

I honestly cant believe that folk are dissing the vax programme.

Don’t agree, sorry. Productivity ratios in any industry inevitably drop off as you work continuously long shift patterns. Unless you can bring many more qualified jabbers on line, which is not the easiest thing to do, then a settling out at where we are is the result.

There's been a provable delay in AZ vaccine supply from India and Moderna have suffered issues too.

I'm not 'dissing' the vaccination program, it's been tremendously done. All I'm saying is that, clearly, in an perfect scenario we'd be delivering more, but we can't because of supply limits, which isn't the fault of anyone involved in the UK vaccination program.
