Just speaking a nurse in the UK and she doesn't seem to think there is any grand plan or major panic or any directives or info that isn't in the public sphere already. Not sure what to make of that

Organisations are prepared for this type of thing. They test for community outbreak and pandemic scenarios all the time. They have to test business continuity annually and will have done a lot of the awareness and testing needed through no deal Brexit preparation.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be caution, because it clearly has potential to cause significant problems for health systems in the UK, but it's being hyped by the media and people who are inclined to panic.

I manage to get around this kind of panic by investing all my disposable income behind the bar of my local and in various guitar and bike shops.

We had this meeting at work... I mean obviously people are dying and that's bad and stuff but somebody needs to make sure our Chinese suppliers prioritise our backlog over their other customers or some car manufactuers won't have as many speakers as they would like!!!!

Somebody really needs to think of the poor shareholders in all of this.

I think Bruce will out live the lot of us if this kicks in. He cycles loads so he will be healthy and have a good healthy immune system, and as a cyclist living in London (I think) he will no doubt have a mask already, he voted remain so we know he isn't over 60 and can obviously interpret and follow sensible advice.

The death rate on that ship is approaching 10%, which perhaps tells you everything to know about the age of those who go on cruises.
