Seeing a few articles in the media which is suggesting that some people are rejecting the AZ vaccine in the UK. Hopefully this won't have a major impact on the roll out. Locally a very high percentage of people are getting vaccinated.

Just reading that the government guidelines for pubs opening on Monday is that the staff must check that you have the NHS test & trace app on your phone.
Not to sure how that's going to go down?

That's what they had to do before the last lockdown so shouldn't be an issue. It's a private app that records you no more than your phone already does

It was virtually that when they opened last time

I think last time you could get away with having a sign in sheet instead of the app, surely that will be allowed again though? Pensioners etc might not have a smartphone.

I would hope that they are going to have a sign in sheet.
As you say, not everyone has a phone and not everyone
has a smart phone either.

Yeah that's true. It's to do with tracing cases rather than tracking people. The NHS app puts it on you to report (anonymously), the sign in sheet puts it on the pub to report cases if I remember correctly

It’s either the phone app or a signing in sheet mate.

My local ended up having a register for the regulars, where you just ticked your name off next to the date. Which worked really well.

Some of us have family abroad that we haven't seen for 18 months.

And some of us live outside of the UK. Haven't seen relatives since Oct 2019.
Nobody has plans to visit here and I'm certainly not going back to England.
