All Hancock is done with that performance is mean the Tories will be subjected to constant questions until they address the supply issue properly now.

Got to imagine there'll be an uproar because everyone will assume the timetable will now be pushed back, even if it actually won't be.

Yeah, they're still on target (I mean really, they're ahead of target - it's kind of like Everton right now) but it's just a massive downer because it's been going so well.

But, they're still on target to get the over 50s jabbed and, obviously of utmost importance, getting people their second jabs. It's obviously how long the hold up is for the rest of the groups now, and whether that risk is gonna mean the timeline is pushed back.

Sure people will be able to handle it but it'd be a horrid blow morale wise. I don't see anything that comes on the 29th being pushed back, but that April 12th date could look vulnerable.

Let’s put it this way, there is zero chance he’d be saying “we’re on track” with the rollout if the NHS knew there was a large supply issue ahead - the Govt have somehow built up a lot of goodwill from the public due to the rollout - if that was in jeopardy they’d simply say as much, as they literally have no control over supply.
Good point, I’m not seeing this as “suicide fuel” right now. It’s like they saw this coming and made sure there was enough supply for the long run before April.

Think about it logically.

They have a plan to vaccinate all adults by a set date.

Simultaneously, they have an NHS England letter saying vaccine supply will be delayed by a month.

So, apparently, the supply will be delayed but the roll out target will still be met.

That doesn't add up mate. Something is wrong.

Only solution to that would be that whatever has gone wrong, they're confident will be resolved in line with additional supplies coming in (Moderna possibly?) and then they'd be confident of doubling down, as it were, on the resumption of the full programme?

Not saying that's the case, just trying to think of a way where it could add up.

So what about the other times GP’s have been warned about supply over the past few months? Is it not plausible (or indeed actually quite probable) that similar warnings have been made over the past few months, but just not leaked to the media along the way?

I think this is a bit of an overreaction in all honesty.

Personally, (and again, I can only base this on anecdotal information), I think it’s precautionary. Logic states that if there’s even a small chance supply will be constrained, they need to pre-warn GP’s/Vaccination centers to ensure that every person due to receive their second dose does so.

Yep, it was said after the conference that this could not be the first time that letters have been sent out like this before.

My missus had her first jab 12 days ago and this morning had a letter from Betsi Cadwaladr HB calling her in for this Saturday!! It can’t be for the second one obviously, so wtf are they doing? They really are an absolute shambles of a health board.

It will almost certainly two different data bases doing their thing.

I got contacted by the DSS one, (carer), then a week or so later, a text from my GP, after I told them I was a carer and they updated my coding on their system.

This will certainly be part of the problem. It really is disgraceful behaviour by the EU. Risking countless lives.

Really starting to wonder why I was such a big remainer over the last few years.

Could be any number of things.

I don't think it's right to assume that if they haven't actually gone ahead with that threat yet?

I wonder will hospitality be pushed back 2-3 weeks from mid May to beginning of June & same with the 21st June being start/middle of July?

I think none essential retail will still open as planned in April but I think its probably worth pushing the other dates back sightly to make up for the April month.

I assumed I would be getting mine around mid to late June so assume that will now be July.
