It's happening way too much with this vaccine. It's ok saying there seems to be no association, but it's not being reported with other vaccines.
I've always argued there is something amiss about the AZ vaccine...and that's from someone who this week will probably have to get it (and I will regardless of the possible side effects because the odds of that side effect are still very slim...but it is a concern).
IMO it's cheap and easy to rolll out and it gets the nod because of that.
Personally i think the caution comes from the young cohort who seem to have had these side effects, thats a different subset and variable of the raw data i posted on the UK figures of Pfizer VS AZ. I believe the cases in Norway are from a different batch then the concerning one that led to the death of the young nurse in Austria during the week and i think that has added to the temporary pause and investigation. Both those variables to me seem like the dictating factors on the pause to me.
I think its fair enough, if there is a concern, a pause is logical until its investigated, once that isnt a six month thing, no point really speculating until proven else-wise, the whole thing will have a due process.
I'm really hoping the whole thing is investigated and found to be fine, the last thing anyone needs is a vaccine to hit the scuppers and not be rolled out, not to mention those in between doses and the concern and limbo that might create.
