Right, so what does Dave suggest we do?The virus will mutate madly if people return to norma. Then we'll have variants that will neutrailse the vaccines.
Scientists have warned us about this.
Let me just clarify: You're happy to place heath in the hands of Johnson and his plan?
Ok.
They know they wont last long protecting us with the sort of free for all rolled out by the murderer. It will be out of control with mutations. The folk who make them do, cos they make tons every year. All they need to make one is the genetic code from a virus. Sadly, that is no longer the mystery it was in the early days, which only popped into some egg heads email when a CCP scientist stopped doing what he had been told to do.
Lockdown until EVERYONE IS JABBED TWICE, a track and trace system is in place worthy of the claim 'world class', hospitality is shutdown as an indoor sector.Right, so what does Dave suggest we do?
We stay locked down for how long?
But this still doesnt solve your issue regarding mutations?Lockdown until EVERYONE IS JABBED TWICE, a track and trace system is in place worthy of the claim 'world class', hospitality is shutdown as an indoor sector.
That would provide a basis for releasing from lockdown.
Nah.
It's not sustainable and there's no appetite for that.
Once the death figures drop and infections stabilise, we'll be done. Nine out of 10 deaths stopped by March with priority groups vaccinated.
We're largely out of this by May.
No chance
OK, will vault you on this in May.
Not all other countries have govenments that delivered the WORST PER CAPITA DEATH RATE FROM COVID19 IN THE WORLD and wont use the vaccines as an excuse for 'Back to the Old Normal PT2'.I've never said that once.
But virtually every country are looking to vaccinate their citizens so I'm pretty happy to accept that they can't all be wrong and there isn't some form of global conspiracy underway.
All the evidence suggests vaccines will be highly effective so I have no idea why you are downplaying them so much.
For this virus.
It would lead to less infrections which would offer less room for mutations. But this still doesnt solve your issue regarding mutations?
IF and I said IF the trends regarding deaths and vaccines keep falling at their current rate, I suspect the noises will be quite loud for a full reopening by the end of March. No point even waiting til May now - I wasn't far off was I?
Hardly Nostradamus though; politically once the numbers died down restrictions were completely unsustainable.
If anything, I expect them to bring forward opening up in full to 31 May instead of mid-June. There'll be a clamour for it and no political benefit to delaying at that point.
They do agree. It's what they've been cautioning about for months.Well the experts who build them dont agree. Gonna take their word for it.
Vaccines dont stop infections that well.It would lead to less infrections which would offer less room for mutations.
