I've got two gigs lined up for July (outdoors) and by Christ I would give anything to be at them.

The pilot tester events for crowds will be held in April and May (FA Cup and League Cup finals will 100% be used for that).

It'll be all about getting people to get tested - and since they will have to be have proof of a negative test to get in, that won't be an issue as long as the facilities are there.

I think the EFL have said they won't have anyone at their final. FA cup final I'd say is the likely one, then England & Wales Euro warmup games

I also think this gives people a clear goal, and in that sense, they're more likely to follow rules.

The usual subjects will complain about people breaking rules etc, but now people know what the plan is if we just stick to what needs to happen.

I'm just hoping schools doesn't come too early and set the whole thing back.

Sorry, but that’s just wrong.

If there are thousands / tens of thousands of easily preventable deaths, then we as a society should look to prevent them.

If there’s a way of preventing those deaths, that also protects us and keeps society open in a pandemic without going through what we’ve just gone through, then we should do it.

This means we - government, employers, business and citizens - are going to have to do and accept things that didn’t happen before. Things like staying off work (and being able to stay off) when people feel symptoms starting, reporting it to the authorities, getting tested, even wearing masks in crowded areas etc). The government are going to have to get better at identifying and stopping outbreaks.

Otherwise, if the takeaway is “everyone dies” then what’s the point of anything?

If the League Cup can have some fans at the final, they will do. It might be restricted to 5-10k, but they will try it if they can justify it. Even if it's bloody sponsors, mate.

The Euros will 100% happen here too, barring a minor miracle. Though I wouldn't suggest crowds will be a thing at that at a rate of anything above 10k.
