The Japanese people adhere to the government advice.

Also the wearing of masks has been very common in Japan since the Spanish Flu pandemic.

If they have a cold or feel slightly unwell they will wear a mask, so they don't pass it on to other people. Its very much in their culture to be hygienic

But, you wouldn't do that as you don't believe that masks work. So Japan is the total opposite of what you believe and think.

No..I would wear a mask if I am sick. Especially from now on. But if there is no pollution in the air where I live and if I'm feeling perfectly fine (never sneezed or coughed in a public place in my entire life anyway) no I wouldn't wear a mask, in the post covid world.

Why would I praise the vaccine progreamme when itls not b eing done well?

They've given permission for a vaccine to be used on people over a certain age when no other country would because of lack of data; then they use the one vaccine we have with high efficacy rates in a way that the manufacturers say isn't legislated for.
I think its being done superbly, in fact its the envy of the entire world.

But hey ho.

Now your just lying, never coughed and sneezed in a public space.

You can't use Japan for your anti lockdown stance as it goes against everything you believe.

You start your comment "I see that ---"
Tell us now where exactly did you see the information leading to your anti President of the French Republic, Monseur Macron rant?
France is using the AZ vaccine, albeit on people under the age of 65.

The French (and German) health authorities are not using it on the over 65s because in their view, the trials did not include enough people in the over 65 category for a statistical conclusion on its effect to be made. To them the efficiency of the AZ on this age group is unproven. Simple as that.
Reports that they say "it doesn't work" or "people have bad side effects " or "people have died". are just not true.

As for vaccination take up, France and indeed the EU as a whole have bigger % age of their population fully (ie 2 doses given) vaccinated than does the UK!

Macron's comments a few weeks ago (around the AZ-EU thing) were a bit daft, though.

So let's just let each country get on with their own vaccination programe. It's going very well in the UK and now appears to be getting up to speed in the other major European nations too.

No, ask my friends. I just never do it.

I don't belive in anything. I am not ideological, that's the bit you don't understand. I just want everything to be opened. Up and running. And that doesn't mean I wanna murder old folks. Peh.

Even if they had their second shots, they'd still have to shield until more of the population had had their first (and second) dose.

Literally makes no difference. Unless in your world, it's all the 85-year-olds who are going to be getting out and about to the pubs?
But they'd have it and be less at risk if they did get the virus. Is there anything more obvious than that?

Answer me this: if the most vulnerabe are over 70 or whatever, then why aren't we seeing with them (and with those who had the Pfizer vaccine at least...which I think most of that age group had) second shots delivered before going to younger people - in their 50s, for example, who overwhelmingly wont be killed by Covid19?

I cant be arsed checking my figures.

But.

Currently we have 17m protected from death and ????? people doubly protected from death.

You would rather we had less people protected from death and more people doubly protected?

That doesn't make any sense, you choose the option that saves the most lives.

And the option we are currently using does that.

Answered that above

Cos the myth that "it only kills the over 70s" is a steaming pile of utter horse crap Dave.

It needs putting to bed, this virus kills who it wants, it does not care how old you are.

The over 70s have protection from death, they don't need a second jab to not die.

I said they were the most vulnerable, not the only one's vulnerable. And the data backs that up.

You're full of crap.

You keep peddling crap tweets which are clearly false because they are against lockdowns and masks.

You are like a kopite and try to play the victim when pulled up on your nonsence.

Right at the start of this, a fella who used to run a youth centre near our house that the kids used to go to, he died from Corona, I saw him like 2 weeks before he died, working away, living his life.

2 weeks later he was dead, fella in his 40s, kids, grandkids, snatched away.

So don't tell me about data Dave.
