Is there any reason italy and spain are having such a torrid time with this? I think they have the two oldest populations in europe, and both have quite a matriarchal society with grand parents living with families etc. With be interested to hear what social factors have affected them so

I read in an Italian paper a doctor in Lombardia was saying that there are a lot of families at home together and if one member has it then they're basically just infecting their whole family

Ive been eating out every night this week ( i do anyway) and its v v quiet, hardly any tables taken even at peak hours

seems like most people i know personally are living as normal as possible for now though in my friend circle

stocked up incase lock down happens, but hope it dosent

gyms still fairly busy aswell

Genuine question. Are you not bothered about spreading the virus to others ? You are aware it can be spread by people without them having symptoms ?

I wonder what the plans will be for produce given the restrictions on movement at the moment. Obviously no eastern Europeans will be coming to pick fruit and vegetables this spring/summer. Maybe @Joey66 will dust down his trowel? Hopefully there won't develop a sense of economic nationalism where food isn't exported and preserved for domestic markets.

Just been to Sainsbury's helping my dad with his shopping (pensioners' only 7.00-8.00). All very civilised, no obscenely large trolleys, enough for everyone. A queue of frustrated twenty somethings waiting at the entrance champing at the bit to be let in.

So my current plan is to work from home while looking after 2 children(wife will do the same) and sort of try and get away with it as long as possible while basically doing very little, thoughts?! (this is slightly complicated by the main part of my job is talking to customers....)
