To be fair, if it had not been for decades of neoliberal ideology resulting in (amongst other things) underfunding of the National Heath Service, then it may not have been necessary for supermarkets to provide this service; we may have actually had a healthcare service capable of dealing with such health crises.

However, I do agree that we are where we are and the implementation of high treet pharmacies vaccinating is probably a logical step. The point is that it should not be so.

You do know that 6 pharmacies are involved as we speak?

I dont even know what neo liberal ideology is. What I do know, is that for 54 of my 55 years on this planet, they have been largely agreeable. If non neo liberal means I am told what to think, what to read, what internet I can have, and if I disagree, I get reeducated, then having this 1 crap year out of 55 is worth paying.

If I am totally off beam with that analysis, then soz. Tell me what it means.

Some of the stuff on here is mind boggling.

The worst health crisis in living memory, we hopefully have the answer in the vaccine and people are getting on their high horses about receiving it in a private room at a pharmacy, within a supermarket !!
On the same token, if people begin to understand which political parties have which particular interests at heart, then maybe the next time there is a health crisis we do not end up with so many people dead.

I couldn’t agree more, but that’s for the enquiry after all this is over.

It’s all about needles in arms now and as quickly as possible.

Me and her indoors had our Covid Jab today. I was a bit miffed that I didn't get a sweet for not crying. Even though I had the proof of dry eyes, they said the fact that I rolled around on the floor like a Premiership footballer and wailing and gnashing my teeth at the same time, counted against me.

Someone get this fella a double vodka coke & some johnnys and get him down to Popworld immediately.

He's ready.

Whisper it quietly but the vaccination programme seems to be going well. Pity we couldn't say that for the covid response. But that is for another day. Lets hope they keep on track with the vaccination roll-out

You seriously think they will actually have dozens of folk queuing in the shop? I mean if they do, thats dumb. But its the expertise they will use.

Could use caravans in the car park. Sit in your car till texted. Marquees when the weather warms up. Rear entrances.

All of those strategies have been used near me for jabs, click and collect, GP appointments, meds.
Can you seriously see Asda shutting down their stores to allow for this vaccination? It's in store. They have stated they will use their George clothes wear department.

So, v-neck jumper + a vaccine...and then hope you haven't brought anything else home with you.

It will be nothing like that. If a pharmacy in a shop cannot operate in a safe way, they wont be allowed to.

If they use space in their clothes bit, it will be secure. Well, as best anything is secure atm.

And I dont quite get your fixation on Asda. Have they been the 6 pharmacies the NHS have all ready approved?

Hope they put the vaccines in the freezer section, like pick and mix back in the day.

They're rolling out the Pfizer jab in Birmingham to start it off.

As said, I cant see the stores shutting, so that means exposure to others.

That cant be seen as a safe environment for the vulnerable.

Glad for you both mate...I’m sure if you order a GOT mug then a sweet will be put inside it by Dan.....
