I asked my wife about this for our local Tesco, she said everyone wears a mask and that the store give them to anyone who turns up without one....
We’ve got thousands of them. We offer them to people without.
If someone’s asthma is so bad they can’t wear a mask for 15 mins whilst they pick up some shopping shouldn’t they really be shielding anyway ?
I haven’t got asthma and none of my family do, so it’s something I know nothing about.

They can always wear one of those shields tbh, asthma or not.....

We’re 9 months into these restrictions.
If you have a genuine medical condition I’m sure you could prove it to someone in a private none intrusive manner ?
Your GP giving you a card or something ?

When my bowels burst and I had bags on my stomach I had a card I could produce to ask a shop or similar to assist me by letting me use their toilet facilities. That’s not an easy conversation to have with a stranger either I can tell you.

Mentioned this before but my mum has the worst asthma possible and she has no issues at all with wearing a mask.

Asthma isn't really an excuse.

You can wear a cotton mask unless you have a serious respiratory condition. If your asthma is that bad you should be shielding.

Almost as bad as all the people with personality disorders saying they can't wear one due to anxiety. Attention seeking selfish nonsense in 99.9% of cases.

You watch, the media will be doing their utmost now to get the footy banned for *checks notes* players (people tested twice a week in a sterile bubble) hugging after a goal.

Schools are shut, so suppose they need something else to cause hysteria about.

Loads of people in one of the Crisis Teams in Bristol are sick. Someone did a long day and got sick and they just cleaned the office and carried on instead of self isolating and now multiple people have symptoms.

In the NHS ffs.

If i was their manager I'd be looking to discipline the lot of them.

Thing is though, those are people who NEED to work.

They are quite literally saving lives mate. They have to be at work, surely?

My housemate had to self isolate when she was ill, while she waited for a test. She was negative, but had four days off. She didn't want to, she wanted to be in, on the wards, helping people, but couldn't be.

It's a really fine balancing act but they can't just magic more nurses or staff up can they.

Nope it's against their Covid infection control guidelines, it was lazy practice.
