I get what you’re saying, but even if you’re vaccinated, you can still carry the virus and be contagious to others. Therefore in your scenario, those who have tested negative, but have not had the vaccine, could still in theory be infected by those who have had the vaccination
Then just carpet it they everyone has to test negative mate.

Much more doable for matches than events, granted, but they shouldn't be out of the realms of possibility.

I agree there mate but my point is once the vulnerable and elderly are vaccinated (providing it works) then statistically Covid isn't severe enough in the rest of us to justify carrying on with all this tier nonsense.

Face masks on public transport and stuff is fair enough but I want to go down in history as the first man to down a double vodka n coke in Popworld once it reopens its doors and I aint doing no social distancing ♡
There's no reason, once vaccination begins to take effect fully, alongside adherence to existing measures reducing infection, that we won't be able to open up more and more.

As the health risk begins to decrease, the normality will increase

Betty, Ada and Mavis all up for an all nighter.

The one arl fella, Douglas or something on a promise..

Exactly, vaccinate the old and vulnerable, who are basically the 99.9% this virus affects, and go back to normal. Life has to resume, the rest of us can be vaccinated on due time.

I think it's closer to 80% and you still have to account for the 5% of people who will be hospitalised. Not sure on the age demographic of that 5% but although you will be able to ease restrictions once the most vulnerable have been vaccinated, they will still have to have some caution, especially if vaccinated people can still transmit it, which is yet unknown.

There is hope but don't think it will be as simple as once the vulnerable are vaccinated then we're back to normal. More like closer to normal, I reckon.

Yeah fair enough it’s obviously not as simple as I made out, but along those lines.

...always assuming that the jabs spaced 3 months apart dont destroy the hoped for immunity the vaccines will bring. A big assumption.

They don't know if people who have been vaccinated transmit it or not yet.

Hopefully they won't.

It's all a waiting game. But I am talking about things 4-6 months down the line.

We managed to get 2,000 fans into PL grounds, in the depths of winter, and do so safely and orderly with the testing.

There's no reason why that can't happen to a bigger extent in late spring/and into the summer, with the added factor of the vaccine, less strain on the NHS, etc etc
