My mother in law is an ex-NHS nurse (retired) and has offered her services to administer the vaccines. She did this 4 weeks ago and only this week did someone get in touch about enrolling her. She said the bureaucracy and red tape involved means she probably won’t get started till end of Jan at the earliest.

I really can’t understand why this prep work wasn’t done months ago, we knew the vaccine was coming

Same with my missus mate, who is a serving nurse and qualified to vaccinate - so can start immediately, with no training.

She volunteered to do do it on her days off and has had to send 3 further emails to chase things up.

Even now, she`s only got as far as " we`ll be in back in touch ".

While the ultimate responsibility is with the government, it shows the incompetency at certain management levels through the NHS.

Just get it sorted, ffs.

Arse... elbow...

Who can forget the eat out to spread it about policy half billion £s spavved on hospitality sector which is employs many young people who happen to be asymptomatic, bat poop crazy...

Restaurants are ok though mate:

"Not a problem for the spread of this virus. Safest places there are." - GOT Independent SAGE Group.

I went to a big Tesco before and luckily it was very quiet. First time I've left the house in over a week. The problem is you get people who are in shops daily.

Habits need to change.

My missus done the same mate, practicing nurse, volunteered to do weekends at saints rugby stadium. Think she said there’s 5 online training courses to complete and a load of paperwork. A load of the courses she can’t access. Utter joke

The thing I can’t get my head around is the social distancing and capacity in supermarkets.

Supermarkets must be up there as one of the main places for spreading the virus, and yet there are never queues outside as there were in the first lockdown. Social distancing is therefore impossible once inside.

I appreciate it’s cold outside so queueing is difficult, but the virus doesn’t care.

They don't even have the arrows in my stores anymore.

Packed out again this afternoon. If the advice is to only go out when necessary then lots are ignoring it.

Same here, went out for my run and there was as many people out as in the Summer.

It’s probably the only thing stopping a lot of people going stir crazy.

Also I don’t think people going taking the dog for a walk are spreading it tbh, it’s the people hopping from house to house.
