The numbers are so high and its only going to get worse. The decisions before christmas were truely criminal.

Very worrying times indeed. Talking about measures being lifted in February is mental. We'll probably be barely past the peak at that point.

They were bad, but these deaths are down to how this has been handled after the first lockdown. The country needs a defence mechanism against this; going down the self-service route (ie: go and get your tests yourselves) has clearly failed.

What an utter joke of a lockdown.

Just had to go to town to renew my driving licence, all the shops are very much still open, can somebody please explain why Greggs is considered an essential shop? I mean I realise this is a loaded question considering its my favourite shop, buy why is it even still open?

A complete and utter farce.
Loopholes mate, any establishment that can serve/sell food, even on a takeaway basis, can stay open. It’s how non essential places like Home Bargains, B&M, Poundland, One Below etc have stayed open all year

I was honestly stunned.

The God damn florists and the blinds shop was open for Gods sake.

Honestly don’t know what people were expecting. There’s no appetite or incentive for businesses to shut or workers to bunker down. I would love nothing more than to be able to be furloughed but it’s never been an option given to me. Businesses should have been forced to shut and employees paid up.

I can only speak for my missus, but going to B&M for a 24 pack of Monster Munch, some shampoo and a big box of tea bags has now become the highlight of her week.

Thing is B&M and Home Bargains are more like Iceland now, they have loads of food options. The Range is the worst offender as the one on edge lane has about 2 rows of food and 100 rows of other rubbish.
