Bit of dead arm on vaccination site for day or two. December 23rd I had mine, still support Everton and still like women, and have no issues using Google os Linux as well as an windows. And Johnson and Government are still a twunts. My opinion it's safe as the experts say it is.

Did you get an uncontrollable urge to rush out and buy Microsoft office, as I read that was a common side effect.

What’s going on with this vaccine? Every “celebrity” on tele this morning seems to have had there’s but my 85 year old grandad is none the wiser when you expect his and the local authority “don’t know when there getting it in”
Probably no coincidence the ones who’ve had it all seem to be down south too.
They'll be getting the one that works too - the one that gives good levels of immunity - the Pfizer vaccine. The rest of our over 80s will be getting the Oxford vaccine...when they're called to attend...and probably 'kin miles away from their homes, many travelling on public transport.

Like I said the date is calculated on 1 million a week being vaccinated. The government is planning on 2 million a week. But we know how bad their track record is.

I’ll be lucky to get mine before autumn, but my mum and dad should hopefully get theirs before end of Feb, even based on the 1m per week, so that is promising, and gives me a bit of hope.

Can you get it done private? I would imagine a lot of these 'celebs' will have done that
Has your grandad asked his gp surgery? Think they will be contacting their elderly and vulnerable patients like him. Hope he gets it soon.

Wales had 40,000 which was enough for 20,000 first vaccinations, just waiting now for next batches. Currently anyone booking there first are being given December 2021. Sure that will change once supplies are in health boards.

A long read. Isn't this what happens with flu every year. It mutates. That's why a new vaccine is needed every year. And won't herd immunity build up every year as with the flu strain?
I'm not sure that there will be a definitive answer to this until the back end of this year. A worrying indicator from this last year is covids apparent resistance to climatic factors. There was an interesting paper on this last year, I'll try and find it.

@BlueDraka here you go

Surely the last few months show that covid is worse in the winter? Most places seem to be having harsher winters.
