We haven't been told about it. We got one in June but nothing since, we have moved onto the testing now regularly which is opened up to non clinical people.

I haven't had it and we aren't patient contact so may not qualify anyway, cheers through!

My missus only found out about it by accident and it would appear it’s not being widely publicised for some reason.

They haven't got the capacity.

My cousin is working delivering the anti-body tests atm. She's meant to do 5 days a week but in the two months since she started, she's done one full week.

They haven't got capacity of production to keep up with demand (they're dead simple kits like - it's just the one I did in September through random selection), so maybe that's why they aren't publicising them?

I`m gonna apply for one myself and see what happens ;)

Anti-body tests or antigen?

Anti-body kits.

They're (usually) a finger-prick testing kit that you do yourself. They were administered randomly through September (the one I did was that, just random selection) and now people can get them delivered (but i don't know how - other than what @COYBL25 has said).

Interesting. The likes of Superdrug were doing them once then they stopped. That's what we should have. It could save on vaccine doses too.

Just had a look at the site, you need to be in " paid adult social care " to be eligible.

Anyone who falls outside those parameters can`t get one.

Horrific if this is true:

Unfortunately it seems we are heading towards that devastating path. Yesterdayt the US reported 2760 deaths, more than any other time since the pandemic began.H Hospitalizationsfrom the virus have topped 100,000 — more than double the number at the beginning of November. Can't imagine what the numbers are going to be in the next couple of weeks when hospitals start dealing with infections that occurred during last week's Thanksgiving celebration when a great number of people traveled and gatheres with people outside their households to celebrate.

Won't somebody think of the children ?

Dont see whats wrong with bigging up your country.

People like that woman are only happy when they are slagging us off or flogging herself over our antics hundreds of years ago.

Country would be a better place if we weren't such a miserable self hating bunch.

Highest Covid death rate in Europe - Rule Britannia.

Not talking about the Covid response more so there are swathes of folk who cant wait to jump on anything in order to hate on the country.

Might be because my arl fella served in the army but it winds me up sometimes - UK aint perfect but nowhere is whereas the way some carry on you would think they were living in some shack in the outskirts of Nairobi.

But apparently we're 'better' than France, Belgium or the USA. These puerile flag waving sound bites add nothing to the debate on the body politic.

An anti-body kit or antigen?

Isn't antigen the one that tells you if it's in your system at that time (or within a week or two?).

I know the anti-body test I did had two factors to it ('M' and 'G').

You could test negative for both (I did), or positive for one, negative for the other, or positive for both of them. One of them meant that you currently had the type of antibodies which suggested that you'd had COVID within the last month, and then the other was if you had the antibodies which would last in your system longer (3-6 months IIRC).

The one that @COYBL25's wife gets may well be more advanced, now.

And I can understand folk from France, Belgium & US laughing at that - but its like our own people are not happy unless they are slagging us off.

its like Everton fans moaning at a club employee saying we're a better club than Spurs or Villa.

May or may not be true but dont get why its own fanbase would rip into them for saying it.
