Seen an article linking obesity and likelihood of covid deaths. Has there been any promotion of healthy lifestyles during this pandemic?

A lot of studies suggesting that vitamin D deficiency has links to covid deaths.

i'm sure promoting a healthy lifestyle helps but FFS we just trying to just to get people to acknowledge that the virus even exists here.
 
Hospital figures - 194 deaths were announced today, down 197 on yesterday and the exact same total as last Sunday. 132 deaths were in English hospitals, down 172 on yesterday and up 10 on last week with 129 occurring in the past 10 days. The 7 day rolling average stays unchanged at an even 331

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 168 deaths were announced today, down 294 on yesterday and up 12 on last Sunday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 412.86

For the 60 day cut off, 172 deaths were announced today, down 317 on yesterday and up 12 on last Sunday. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to 432.71

Is it just me or does that read as a piss take?

Test him and if he isn't positive have him run the damn country. So what, he does the bare minimum yet again sat at home and letting someone else do the actual work during the pandemic.

Load of crap. I've been told if I test positive from a testing place, my work will then send me for another test to prove I'm positive before I'm allowed to self isolate. And here is the prime minister without symptoms or a test swanning off to his house again.

No reason they cant I went for a test today took about 15 minutes from turning up to sign in get test ect , results were text about 30 minutes later.

It's actually worse than that.

That policy that we now have to follow is only if we are symptomatic.

So if we have symptoms AND test positive we then have to go for another, in a taxi no less if we haven't got a car. That's before work will ok one of us being covid positive

If we aren't and the app says just to isolate then we go home. Only if we are literally positive and showing signs of it our work has to then run a second test

As a leader, I think he should be used to see if people can get reinfected. Get a line of positive testers to cough in his face one at a time.
 
Boris Johnson is self-isolating after a meeting with an MP who later tested positive for COVID-19.

The prime minister's spokesman said he had been notified by NHS Test and Trace that he has to self-isolate as he was a contact of someone who has tested positive.

This is a look , even the prime minister is using the track and trace app kind of PR exercise.

If that happens, then, as I understand it, both yourself, and your employer would be breaking the law.

I think you said a bit ago that you're work is tied into the NHS in some way ? If so, presumably you work on something which is outsourced rather than working for the NHS directly ?

If your employer has been stupid enough to put into writing / email what you're describing then they're just one disgruntled employee away from a very embarassing situation for them !

I thought if anyone had it you wont get it again for a long time, and you wont be passing it on to someone else. There's barely a handful of cases of reinfection worldwide. So why would Johnson self isolate? Unless he never had it....
