Oh I know Pete - It's all worth it in the end - Just winds me up that they can set their own price, personally I think that a 45% profit margin is too much

There's a whole ethical debate about Big Pharma that probably needs to be kept separate from this thread so i'll pipe down!

Software companies take a 55% margin. It’s the name of the game. The most important thing is saving lives and getting the country going again. The pittance this vaccine will cost will be paid for in days.....

Another reason why I don't think they wanted to get cosy with the White House. They didn't need to.
 
Hospital figures - 185 deaths were announced today, down 9 on yesterday and up 50 on last Monday. 167 deaths were in English hospitals, up 45 on yesterday and up 49 on last week with all occurring in the past 10 days. The 7 day rolling average rises to 279.71

All settings - For the 28 day cut off, 194 deaths were announced today, up 38 on yesterday and up 58 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 340.71

For the 60 day cut off, 203 deaths were announced today, up 43 on yesterday and up 62 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises to an even 355

Apparently it'll be about 20 US Dollars a shot for the vaccine itself, with a gross ( ? ) margin of about 60% ?

Plainly if you had to pay for the infrastructure to get the vaccine to you and the cost of the medics to carry out the vaccination that'd push the cost up, but, if those figures are right, then compared to the mark up on drugs, which are likely taken daily, the cost of the vaccine itself isn't huge.

First world countries can take that cost without flinching.

Seen another funny theory earlier on.

Won't take a vaccine developed by scientists experts in their field, will take a bag of coke from Mickey from round the back of the pub.

I just don't get what people stand to lose here when saying they wouldn't get the vaccine. Even in the most deep conspiracy theory , what are they planning to do?

Makes no sense to me man.
