I suspect you'll be surprised and take up will be far better than 10%.

I certainly hope so anyway, because if it is that low then you'll have government wringing their hands while saying "We pulled out all the stops for Liverpool on testing and they weren't interested" and it'd be hugely disappointing for Anderson and Rotherham as well.

I don't even know how many people get tested a day in Liverpool at the moment. I just can't see huge numbers rushing for a test.
 
Hospital figures - 326 deaths were announced today, down 54 on yesterday and up 76 on last Thursday. 236 deaths were in English hospitals, down 66 on yesterday and up 44 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to an even 249

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 378 deaths were announced today, down 114 on yesterday and up 98 on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 309.29

For the 60 day cut off, 393 deaths were announced today, down 117 on yesterday and up 103 on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 320.57

Never see anyone at the testing centre in Stanley Park and I walk the dog that way twice a day. Might change tomorrow. Think they have started early though cos a neighbour knocked to tell us to get down there because it’s empty
 
I expect this Liverpool testing is just a Tory plot to lock up everyone by giving a load of false positives...cunning plan Dominic.

Seriously though, I hope everyone there does get the test as whatever the results it will help the scientists understand a bit more and will allow those who are clear to perhaps get on with their lives with others who are also clear. This could be a massive game changer.....
 
Many people I know getting tested, positive or negative. I neither felt sick or needed to get tested. Almost feel upset for being healtly while most of them getting stressed hard. Lets hope I dont jinx myself

But my point was... The self employed, and I know because I know people who've done it, can claim 80 percent of their willprevious year's profit for free. Not a loan. Free money. Even if they are working as if Covid never happened. I asked someone who has already done it and his answer was "everyone is doing it".

Im self employed and the payment i pay in January is for this year's tax estimated on last years tax plus or minus any difference then pay again in july.
To cheat system you need access to cash in hand payments and if they have that they've probably not had much of a tax bill over the last few years anyway so wouldn't be able to claim much anyway.
Im sure hmrc will check when 20-21 tax returns go in to see if earnings are down ,which is one of the things you need to declare when claiming.
