It's too much of a strain on people. And you can't keep completely stalling kids' education.

The issue is the opposite, if anything.

For their many faults, they have tried to keep businesses running in some form.

Unfortunately, the best way to do it would have been getting ahead with a lockdown and then maybe introducing a tier system.

But they've tried to put a lockdown off to save businesses.

It was just inevitable and that's why it's so annoying.

No panic buying of stuff today.

We did have a big queue outside though.

What was obvious to see was that trolleys were full.
Full of Christmas stuff, chocolates, advent calendars etc.
People want to have a normal Christmas and that goes with certain products I guess.
We won’t run out of normal everyday items, but we could do of seasonal gear maybe ?

I picked up some kids chocolates when I finished my shift to be honest.

Massive mistake to not shut the Universities

It's not like there's going to be any jobs in the future anyway

I dont think lockdown is the right approach at this stage for various reasons which I've given. I dont think there's been much logic to anything put forward recently.

I haven't much faith in government or advisors. At some point we have to get beyond going in and out of lockdown and stopping people and businesses from going to work.

1. No they didn't, they said it has drawbacks and only has a purpose to delay swamping health systems when absolutely necessary.

2. You can't protect the old and ill. Unfortunately, due to the reliance on the not old and ill to support such people, there will be cross-contamination no matter what you do - especially if you let the virus run riot.

More restrictions based upon flawed data. Cases of flu and deaths from flu are so massively down yet for Covid so much higher than over summer? Amazing how we seem at last to have virtually eradicated influenza.
