So they are going to lockdown on bonfire night that will go well.
They should have banned the sale of fireworks 2 weeks ago as selling them is going to encourage people to have house parties.
I will wager as per every other restriction it will take effect on November 6th to allow people to have a bommie night before they have to lockdown.

Same as everyone was allowed a few extra days to all go out and enjoy the sun before suddenly they weren't allowed to back in September, whilst telling everyone not to go and enjoy the sun.

Not too bad, miss a lot of things but at the same time I've had pretty much a 5 month paternity leave. Still talk to my friends most days.

I think people are in much worse positions than me.

Went to the pub gardens in the summer. Eating good food, drinking good drink and running has helped me and hopefully will get me through the winter.

How about you?

I'm one of the lucky ones with a job that not threatened. Missing my family who are in liverpool and I'm in the south west. My anxiety getting worse due to mum living alone in liverpool and husband was on the shiekding list. Just struggling at the moment but suppose I'm lucky compared to most.

It's terrifying that these morons will be bringing us brexit in a few weeks.
More so that behind all of the covid coverage, they have been royally, well messing up for a nice word , the negotiations to the point of no deal.

The one exact thing the rest of (and including many of their own) the political system didn't want this time last year.

£12bn on a track and trade system that has fell flat on its arse than is now causing another national lockdown which will prove even more costly to the country.

They should be thrown in prison for the incompetence they have displayed during this pandemic.

They haven't a clue and dont use the science

Restaurants are not super spreaders
Gyms are not super spreaders
Table service bars are not super spreaders
Barbers are not super spreaders

Had they followed the science they realise mixing homes, university campuses, illegal raves and schools are the super spreaders.

On a vaguely brighter note, all be it in a "It might not be quite as sh1te soon" kind of note, there are early indications from case rates that, as an area, the North-West may have peaked.

It'll take another five or six days before we know for sure, and there was a bit of a false dawn on cases a few weeks ago which turned out not to be a peak, so it's too early to be sure. Also, increases in local hospital admissions and deaths are already baked in, so a drop in cases won't relieve any pressure on the local NHS for quite a few weeks.
