You know what mate that’s a fair comment. I can see why there are two ways of looking at this, my way and your way, I just don’t believe all the figures we’ve been given regarding deaths and how it’s deemed Covid has killed them, and with that less people being hospitalised and death rate very low but more infections (But that could be due to more testing) I don’t think a lockdown is necessary. Im tired of reading the deaths/new cases, it would be nice for MSM or government to tell us how many people have been infected, needed no treatment and was back to normal in whatever time (a few weeks or a few days) give the people some hope. It’s constant scaremongering like it’s a death sentence and it really isn’t that for 99% of the people who get it.
Mate, in a few weeks time (unfortunately) you'll see there's been no scaremongering.

We need control. We need focus. We need a lockdown.

As mentioned earlier, the basic statistic of excessive deaths from February to now compared against the five-year rolling average suggests COVID is killer.

Whether that's directly or indirectly through redirection or removal or of services is up for deliberation, but the projections across the winter are far from rosy.

As @Foot Long Hot Dog also mentions, it may only impact 1% of the population, but I refuse to let that pure piece of arithmetic to decide how we should act.

Even if it's 0.5% of the population, three-hundred odd thousand deaths is too much if we can do something to prevent them. Preservation of life must come first.

They'll have to return to that decision to keep restaurants open. I gauarantee in a few weeks time we'll be in a very bad place in this country and keeping restaurants open will look like an absolutely disastrous decision.

I notice that the talk is of reviewing the situation in a month. If that's the case these restaurants have a month to rake in a few quid and infect more people.

Appalling. You may as well keep the ale houses open if you keep restaurants open.

This isnt the fault of the government, its the fault of all the meffs who cant be bothered to wear face masks, dont wash hands, and hang around in groups.

It isn’t. Why has this spike only happened in the last few weeks and been relatively under control here since March?

It isn’t the fault of anyone. Why are we so quick in the country to point the finger and place the blame at the people.

No wonder the government continue to take the piss. They know we’ll all turn on eachother eventually.
