My lad hasn't gone back to John Moores, they are just doing the lectures with teams (or something like that) so he's continued working at Morrisons. He was saying when he got back from work last night that he couldn't believe the amount of people who came up to him pulling their masks down and asking where such and such items are. He said he just says to them that he can still hear what they're asking for with their masks on, one woman turned round to him and said asking him where something was gave her an excuse to take the mask off for a bit. Bonkers.

Thick gets.

No, not like that.

I mean my wife and I were both able to work throughout lock-down, on full salary, while she worked at home permanently and I did some days at home.

It would have never ever been considered for me to work from home for a multitude of reasons, so our work life balance definitely improved to different extents.

We also saved money by not travelling or going out, which helped pay off the extension we've had built. In retrospect, it wasn't a bad experience at all.

On the other hand, I fully understand and appreciate that for many it was financially, physically and mentally a really harsh time.
At the other end of the spectrum (can’t think of a better word) I’m retired from the NHS, not watching Everton home and away or going out saved me a fortune, especially at the start . I appreciate it must have been awful for others.

The best one is, if someone comes into the store without a mask on then those working there aren't allowed to question said person as to why they are not wearing a mask because if they have an underlying illness as a reason not to wear a mask, then asking that person could be looked upon as discriminating.

It's their "right" to ignore guidelines. How dare anyone curb their freedom to express themselves. After all, it's not like anyone's life depends on them complying.

Very interesting that now the Covid wave has passed through london and is now spreading north and west the financial support has reduced, once again the north south divide is seen.
well done to Andy Burnham for speaking up!!

What support did London get? That no one else did?
