It's also like assuming you're going to die in a car crash so you never drive a car or you're going to get hit by a bus so you never leave the house or you're going to get fat so you never eat.

Life is always a risk so you can't assume the worst all the time.

No, not really... you're ignoring the obvious % of those things happening.

If you'd have said driving your car head first into another car then that would have made more sense.

Hancock also told MPs there enough flu jabs were available for everyone in a priority group who needed one. But people did not need to get them before December, he said.

the same logic was used over PPE during the first wave, when there was enough provided it was used correctly*

* they changed the rules around when it should be used just before this statement

Doubt these new “rules” are law.. just guidlines basically
Until they nick you for breaking one
This is one of the drawbacks of government by dictat...if the !aw isnt passed by Parliament, goes through the Lords etc is it actually 'A Law' - one they can nick you for.
Council byelaws maybe different...but these come from Downing St
Loophole-tastic or fascist oppression?

There are new rules brought in every couple of days now and none of it is proportionate. They always talk about the lag, yet they don't even wait a week or two to see if the previous restrictions are working.

They are just acting constantly to make it look like they've done something. The effectiveness of what they do is almost irrelevant now, they just want to be seen to be doing something to appease the twitter-sphere and the media.

Constant knee jerk, with no cohesive plan and certainly no continuity whatsoever.

Found a flaw in the app.

Few of my staff have had to go home after one of them the other day tested positive.

They all seem to have been in vincinity of said cases phone rather than said person.

Obvious that's how it works but there is a whole office now being told they have to stay in work despite being around someone.

So the distance to the phone seems to be bang on working at least.

There still isn't the projected number of death increases since the first wave of restrictions.

Why aren't said people taking it upon themselves to go home and citing common sense as the reason?

These rules dont go far enough.

How are they going to police a guidleine like 'no one outside your own family or support bubble getting together in pubs and restaurants'?

That's a cop out.

I'll say this though: we will be going into much more restrictions sooner rather than later. This is not a shot across the bow, it's a softening up process.
